Master carver Troy Sice brings a tiny treasure. This endearing little Bear has all the fine craftsmanship qualities that hallmark Troy's larger carvings but on a small, more affordable, scale. The tiny eyes are inlaid pen shell, the claws are tiny slivers inlaid jet. Tiny hand cut and polished turquoise and coral cabochons adorn the neck in an abstract necklace honoring the spirit of the bear. A tiny treasure at about 1 3/4" tall, 3/4" wide and 5/8" deep.
Troy is an accomplished third-generation carver, the grandson of George CheeChee Haloo (d), nephew of artists Ramie and Miguel Haloo (d), and half-brother of carver Colvin Peina (d). His creations have garnered awards in many shows across the country.
