The Indigenous Chumash People surrounding the Santa Barbara Channel believe their connection to the ocean and marine life is not only spiritual but familial. Dolphins are blood brothers and sisters, key members of Chumash creation myth. We can respect marine life by reducing, reusing and recycling non-biodegradable items including damaging plastics. Honor our ocean friends like dolphins by doing our share in keeping their homes clean. Danette Laate's lovely onyx dolphin joyfully jumps through the waves. Eyes are from turquoise inlays and a Zuni Sunface symbol from turquoise, jet and coral is inlaid to this approximately 2" long, 1/2" wide and 1 1/4" tall water creature.
