The illustrations in Frank Hamilton Cushing's 1883 book Zuni Fetishes have served as artistic inspiration for Lorandina Sheche and her family. Created from onyx and marble, a wonderful Coyote (Fox or Wolf) pair evoke the old-style manner of carving. Eyes are from turquoise inlays and a lovely watermelon serpentine point is accompanied by a branch coral and turquoise nugget. About 2 3/4" long, 7/8" wide and 1" tall.
