Skillfully carved by Virgil Long from the customary material of cottonwood, Hopi "Longhair" katsina standing doll represents the Hopi Longhair Katsina who brings blessings of gentle rainfall among other traditional reasons. Vibrant green, red, yellow, black and white acrylic paints are colorful, while fine details such as incised hair and fist are thoughtfully worked. Dimensions including the base are approximately 6 1/2" tall, 2" wide and 1 3/4" deep.
