We love Virgil Long's affordable cottonwood katsina dolls that are beautifully handmade, meant to share Hopi traditions with everyday enthusiasts. The Butterfly Dance of the Hopi is held in August after the gathering of the harvest. Vibrant acrylic paints accent the well-carved standing pose and elegant wings of the Hopi Butterfly Girl Katsina doll. Measurements of the collectible and detailed woodwork including the base are approximately 9 1/2" tall, 6 3/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep. Signed by the artist.
