Maxx Laate's antler Owls are like the quintessential raptors of fairytales and storybooks, wonderfully mysterious in deep-hooting voices and quiet ways. The A:Shiwi (The People) call the owl “the Night Grandfather” because he does his work at night. Ever-watchful eyes are from turquoise set to rounded eye sockets, while softly sculpted plumage is beautifully layered. Guardian bird and owlet measure approximately 2 5/8" tall, 7/8" wide and 7/8" deep.
