Throughout time amber has been adored for a honey-like hue, valued for healing properties. It is a fossilized resin from ancient pine trees. Many interesting inclusions like insects can be found in this luscious, organic substance. Danette Laate's turquoise-eyed horned Lizard has been carved from golden amber hosting little particles. Eyes are from turquoise inlays and a lovely coral and turquoise bead offering bundle of gratitude is secured to this approximately 2 1/8" long, 7/8" wide and 3/8" tall earth-hugging reptile.
