Clive Hustito
Clive Hustito's superior Wolf is sculpted from white marble with naturally-occurring soft grey inclusions. The larger-sized carving represents the Six-Directions with a mother-of-pearl Mountain-lion, a pen shell Mole, an azurite Eagle, a turquoise Bear and a spiny oyster shell Badger. The artist's initials are incised on the hip region of this approximately 6 3/4" long, 2 1/2" wide and 3 1/8" tall powerful wolf with intelligent eyes from turquoise inlays.
Fitz & Marlo Kiyite
For the A:Shiwi (Zuni) there are Six Directions in life each with an assigned color and animal. Long ago the Father of Medicine Societies Po-shai-an-kia established predatory animals as guardians of the Six Directions who are healing and protective. Marlo and Fitz Kiyite's angelite Bear Directional carving consists of a pipestone Badger, a fish rock serpentine Mountain-lion, a jet Mole, a Picasso marble Eagle and a marble Wolf. The nice bear has jet eyes. Dimensions in their entirety are about 1 3/4" long, 1" wide and roughly 1 1/2" tall.
Herbert Halate
Nick Rosetta, Kewa (Santo Domingo)
Zuni artist Andres Lementino is well-known for inlaying animal carvings with magnificent features that take extra care, time and hard work. His latest offering is a majestic Horse from white marble masterfully adorned with two stone to stone inlays from gold lip shell, mother-of-pearl, turquoise, jet and apple coral that reflect Andres' exceptional talents. The designs form the Sunface symbol which represents the elements in balance, as well as a powerful Bear track. The turquoise-eyed deluxe equine is approximately 3 3/4" long, 5/8" wide and 3 1/8" tall.

Kyle Awelagte
Wild canines like Coyotes, Foxes and Wolves live life to the fullest bringing good animal medicine for us to live in the moment and to find new pathways in difficult circumstances. Carved from striking zebra marble, Kyle Awelagte's turquoise-eyed bushytail companion is about 3 1/2" long, 1/2" wide and 1 5/8" tall. A lovely blister pearl and green turquoise beads compose the offering bundle.

Brion Hattie, Sr.
White Wolf (Fox or Coyote) is a spiritual messenger, an integral member of the living winter landscape. Brion Hattie, Sr.'s wonderful wild canine is sculpted from fresh marble. Discerning eyes are from jet inlays. Its silent footsteps leave no trace but purity on Mother Earth's snowy ground. About 3" long, 7/8" wide and roughly 1 1/2" tall.
Kenric Laiwakete
Wolves are guardians of the wild who protect and preserve the natural integrity and balance of Mother Earth's habitats. For the A:Shiwi (Zuni), wolves or Yuna:wikko’o are powerful spirits that run across ancestral lands teaching us the importance of family devotion, reciprocity and community cooperation. Kenric Laiwakete's marble wolf would make a wonderful White Wolf of The East in a self-built set of Six-Directions. Turquoise eyes draw you into the raw beauty of the wilderness. Multiple heartlines or breath paths are from turquoise and apple coral inlays. About 3 1/8" long, 1/2" wide and roughly 1 3/4" tall.
Saddle up for a lazy afternoon adventure with Kenric Laiwakete's rich green marble Horse. Curious eyes from turquoise inlays wander through wild poppy fields and chase the golden light. A triple heartline or breath path is from sky blue turquoise inlays. A fine equine friend who will help your imagination run free. About 3 1/4" long, 3/8" wide and 2 1/8" tall.

Hayes Leekya
Hayes Leekya's late grandfather Leekya Deyuse carved interesting things including plant forms especially leaves. Acknowledging his grandfather's unique artistry, Haye's white marble or perhaps sugar stone marble Mountain-lion (puma, panther or cougar) has an offering bundle from a sculpted orange spiny oyster leaf accompanied by turquoise and more colorful spiny oyster shell beads. We love the sense of movement and earnest gaze from pen shell inlays of this approximately 6 1/4" long, 2 3/8" wide and 2 1/2" tall exquisite feline.
Horned Lizards have an amazing defense mechanism. Nictating membranes in the corners of their eyes enables them to squirt blood when provoked. They can accurately aim from several feet away at a predator’s eyes or mouth. Thanks to a steady diet of Harvester red ants, the horned lizard's blood contains formic acid that tastes terrible to these predators. Interestingly, the term formica from which the name is derived is the Latin word for ant, as formic acid is contained in ant venom. Nelson Yatsattie's smoothly sculpted Queen's Creek marble horned lizard has turquoise inlaid eyes and sgraffito-etched horns and claws. About 4 3/8" long, 2" wide and 1 1/4" tall.
Absorbing the warm and nourishing Zuni sunshine, Nelson Yatsattie's elongated Lizard ponders the next place to visit, friends to make and insects to eat. Smoothly sculpted from Queen's Creek marble displaying natural rich colors like burgundy hues, this lovely reptile is about 7 1/4" long, 1" wide and 3/4" tall. Eyes are from turquoise inlays and claws are sgraffito-etched. We can help reptiles by keeping downed logs which provide great habitat for them and all kinds of wildlife. Also, planting native grasses and ground cover affords great hiding spots for lizards.
Clive Hustito's magnificent upright Bear is carved from a weighty marble with swirling maroon, pink and cream-hued inclusions giving the impression of a shaggy coat. Standing bears are like brothers who teach us to stay strong. Expressive eyes are from turquoise inlays while clawed paws are incised. He honored the bear with a necklace from lovely turquoise and coral beads. A powerful bear stands about 8" tall, 3 1/2" wide by 2 1/4" deep.
