Some who maintain gardens often view moles negatively but the burrowing of Moles is actually beneficial because they aerate and mix soil layers, which improves drainage. They feed on insects that eat plant roots and protect growing crops by hunting rodents that damage them. For the Zuni Pueblo People, a mole is the Guardian of Mother Earth, a protective and hunting animal of the underground. Alex Tsethlikai's wonderful vermillion marble mole has turquoise eyes and measures about 2 3/4" long, 1" wide and 3/4" tall.
