Zuni Pueblo tradition says that during the old-days
Corn-maidens saved the People from famine and drought by nourishing them with the sacred
corn kernels from their bodies. Remembering the beauty of this teaching comes in the form of a carved Zuni cedar Corn Maiden fetish pendant by Reva Halate. Facial features are from inlaid turquoise. About 1 3/4" long, 3/4" wide and 1" deep with bale. The lovely silver snake chain is not included but is available and sold separately
