Zuni jeweler Tracey Bowekaty is beloved for carved
corn jewelry. For the A:Shiwi (Zuni) corn is an ancient crop still planted and harvested today. It is called The Mother because it’s cultivated from Mother Earth. Tracey selected iridescent gold lip shell and inlaid colorful pieces of turquoise, alunite, jet and malachite. A gorgeous setting from sterling silver husks and three ball elements adorn these approximately 3/4" wide and 1" tall lightweight earrings. Signed by the artist.
