Robert Michael Weahkee is a fourth-generation carver from Zuni Pueblo. His late grandmother was renowned artist Edna Leki. Robert said he likes to have fun and be imaginative with his pieces, hence the Flying
Bison who has sprouted wondrous wings. It is carved from one piece of burnished antler, his main medium. Horns are from jet and eyes are from inlaid turquoise. An amusing work that gives new meaning to "buffalo wings". Dimensions are approximately 4 1/2" long, 7/8" wide and 4 3/8" tall.
