Claudia Peina's powerful Warrior Maiden was called into battle early and didn't have time to finish her traditional hairstyle. Meticulously carved from antler, a shawl is decorated with finely etched geometric lines that are filled with jet paste, including coral and turquoise cabochons. Hair is beautifully incised and the one whorl is set with turquoise. Discerning eyes are from inlaid jet and a coral mouth speaks words of wisdom. She stands at the ready holding a hand-stamped shield and spear. Boots are fastened with an inlaid turquoise button. About 2 1/8" tall, 1" wide and 3/4" deep.
