Visiting Cardinal

The beloved Northern Cardinal is a stunning bird with a distinctive crest and vivid red plumage. Some believe that seeing one means visitors are soon to come. They are territorial song birds once prized as pets because of their bright color and distinctive song. Fortunately they are now protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and other important legislation. Hudson Sandy is a wonderful carver of cardinals. This one's from apple coral accented with turquoise and red coral inlays. An awesome face is from jet and turquoise. About 2 1/8" tall, 3/4" wide and 1/2" deep.
