The arid Gila National Forest in Silver City, New Mexico is home to Dragonfly Trail, an enchanted place among the piñon-juniper grasslands where ancient Indigenous rock symbols like Dragonflies can be seen. Zunis believe dragonflies carry prayers. Brian Yatsattie's dancing dragonfly has been elegantly shaped from a dreamy surfite specimen exploding with turquoise hues. This up-cycled by product from custom surf board production is the accumulation of colored resins used to "glass" the boards. Approximately 3 5/8" long, 4 1/4" wide and 3/8" tall.
