Andres Lementino is known for inlaying gorgeous Zuni Sunface symbols into his animal carvings, representing the elements in balance. He does so in the stone-to-stone method, an exacting one that takes great precision and skill. Here the Sunface design consists of a side by side inlay from mother-of-pearl, jet, turquoise and spiny oyster shell, set into a leopard marble Medicine-Bear. Eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 1 5/8" long, 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" tall.
