Self-taught carver Salvador Romero's
Bear is effortlessly sculpted from found stone whose simple shape belies the deep wisdom that bear medicine brings. Salvador walks the land at Cochiti Pueblo to locate the right stones for his carvings. He says “The stone has the animal in it. I just find it." A handsome chert point with various beads compose the offering bundle. A nice size at roughly 7 1/2" long, 1 7/8" wide and 3 7/8" tall.
