Carl Etsate's shimmering abalone Tablita Corn Maiden wears a traditional tablita headdress. Bodily Corn kernels are incised and decorated with jet, turquoise and cultured opal pieces. Turquoise eyes show discernment and a voice of wisdom is represented by a cultured opal inlay. Beautiful long hair that is incised imparts strength. Crushed turquoise on the lovely wooden base represents life giving water. Measurements in their entirety are approximately 2 1/2" tall, 1 3/8" wide and 5/8" deep.
