A fabulous Beaver is carved by the talented couple Daphne and Leland Boone. Their artistic style is influenced by Leland's mother Lena Boone. The carving tradition is also handed down by Leland's grandmother the late Edna Leki and Edna's great-grandfather Teddy Weahkee, an iconic Zuni artist. The industrious water creature with turquoise eyes measures about 1 3/4" long, 1" wide by 1" tall, carved from satin spar gypsum said to have a grounding quality that stimulates emotional balance and brings comforts through times of stress.
