Ricolite was used in ornamentation by ancient Mimbres Peoples. Artifacts fashioned from ricolite have been found at Paquimé (Casas Grandes) in Chihuahua, Mexico. It is a stunning verdant variety of a serpentine inter-banded with talc and primarily comes from the Ash Creek tributary of the Gila River in Grant County, New Mexico. It's also found in Mexico. Jimmy Yawakia's upright Rabbit has been sculpted from ricolite to a size of approximately 2 1/4" tall, 5/8" wide and 1 1/4" deep. Alert eyes are from turquoise.
