Rhyolite is a volcanic stone with flow banding forming mesmerizing ribbon and swirling patterns. Pink, cream and grey hues live in rhyolite but iron oxides gives it beautiful red and brown variations. Dee Edaakie's turqouise-eyed journeying Bear has been sculpted from rhyolite to a dimension of approximately 2 1/2" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" tall. An abalone point offering bundle compliments the stunning triangular formation in the fine-grained igneous rock.
