Often Jess Johnson will sign his jewelry creations with hand-stamped raincloud elements. And sometimes he incorporates the life-giving symbol on the front side of the pieces as is the case with these magnificent sterling silver Zuni Sunface and raincloud dangle earrings. They are surrounded by many small turquoise stones, shaped like snake eyes, that are held by tiny hand-cut silver bezels in the petit point manner. The Sunface symbols that represents the elements in balance, are composed with turquoise, jet and iridescent mother-of-pearl, set in the stone to stone jewelry technique. These medium-weight adornments are signed by the artist and include additional stamped motifs, perhaps sunbeams or rainfall designs. About 2 1/2" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1/8" deep.
