Precious Baby Horned Lizard

By Bernie Laselute

Animal: Horned Lizard, Material: Picasso Marble
This offering is sold.
Horned Lizards mate in the springtime eventually having little horned lizards several months later. Bernie Laselute's baby horned lizard scurries here and there, carved from an earthy-hued Picasso marble and inlaid with turquoise eyes. Horned lizards are decreasing in nature because of urban encroachment, radiation and pesticides. We can help them by avoiding chemicals in our yards, planting native grasses and plants, plus not destroying red harvester ants and their piles. These particular red ants are an important food source. About 1 3/4" long, 7/8" wide and 5/8" tall.
