Stewart Quandelacy and Priscilla Lasiloo Quandelacy's iridescent black lip shell Horse moves with grace and power. Stewart's late mother Ellen Quandelacy had special artistic talents including sculpting animals like equines that are popular to this day. Only after Ellen passed in 2002 did her grown children begin carving horses. Soulful eyes are from turquoise inlays, while a whipped up tail conveys movement. About 2 3/4" long, 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" tall, slightly convex.
