Andres Lementino's wonderful Medicine-Bear has been carved from pinolith stone. Named for the appearance of lovely magnesite inclusions that look like pine kernels, this rare semi-precious material found in Austria, Spain and Canada is said to hold healing properties. A Zuni Sunface symbol which represents the elements in balance is beautifully set stone to stone with colorful turquoise, spiny oyster shell, lapis lazuli, mother-of-pearl and jet. Eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 1 5/8" long, 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" tall.
