Lorandina Sheche is a wonderful elder from Zuni Pueblo. Her late grandfather was Theodore Kucate who was possibly the earliest recognized carver from Zuni. His fetishes had a friendliness to them as do Lorandina's. Her latest offering is a coral-eyed Frog carved from watermelon serpentine. A natural black inclusion makes for a wonderful nose on this approximately 3 1/4" long, 1 1/2" wide and 1" tall water creature.
