Lance Cheama comes from the greater Natewa, the late Dallas Quam and Panteah family of noted Zuni Pueblo artists. Other carving siblings from this family include the late Fabian Cheama, Arvella Cheama and Wilfred Cheama. They've been innovators in contemporary fetish carvings. Lance's serpentine with augite Mountain-lion (puma, panther, leopard or cougar) kitten has a lively long tail and bright turquoise eyes. Approximately 2" long, 1/2" wide and 1/2" tall.
