Stevan Natachu descends from the greater Leonard Halate family of Zuni artists. Stevan's brother is carver Peter Natachu Jr., while his uncle is well-known carver Herbert Halate. Wanting to stand close to you, this turquoise-eyed lovable Horse is carved from marble. A colorful mosaic from spiny oyster shell, gold lip mother-of-pearl shell and jet accents the tail region of this approximately 2 3/8" long, 1/2" wide and 2 1/8" tall trusted companion. An etched mane has lovely jet and pipestone inlays.
