Clive Hustito's guarded Mountain-lion from travertine is part of the Six-Directions with a specific color and animal associated with each one. Long ago the Father of Medicine Societies, Po-shai-an-kia established predatory animals as guardians of the Six Directions who are healing and protective. The turquoise-eyed feline, whose assigned color is yellow, is one of the Six Directional animals including a pen shell (black) Mole, a mother-of-pearl (white) Wolf, a spiny oyster shell (red) Badger, a turquoise (blue) Bear and a Picasso marble (many-colored) Eagle. Dimensions are approximately 11" long, 2 1/4" wide and 4 3/4" tall. Clive's initials are incised on the hip region of the great cat.
