Carved out of antler by Robert Michael Weahkee, this long traveling sea Turtle
scans the waters through inlaid turquoise eyes. It wears a lovely offering necklace of various green beads and hangs from a strand of green garnets. Robert incised nice reptile skin detail and burnt out carapace which he left in its natural ruff state mimicking a turtle's shell perfectly. The pendant is about 2 1/2" long and 1 1/4" wide, the total length of the necklace is 23" and is finished with heishi, sterling silver cones and a hook and eye closure.
