What Horse lover could resist this horse by Dee Edaakie? Thankfully, Robin didn’t and it has been a cherished possession for a number of years. When the angle is right, the light is beautifully iridescent. Labradorite is a difficult stone to work with. The layers within the stone are what make the colors so stunning, but it also makes carving it tricky. Dee did a masterful job, as usual. Definitely one of the best carvings of labradorite ever! This beautiful horse measures about 2 7/8" from nose to the tip of the tail and stands at 1 7/8" tall. The carving is also signed by Dee.
