Moles teach us to think deeply going beyond the physical view in life. It's been said intuition goes before you showing you the way. Moles are successful underground dwellers whose eyesight is poor but thrive nonetheless using other instincts to survive. Herbert Halate's lightly-etched mole has been carved from jet. Eyes from turquoise are inlaid to turned head. Perhaps turquoise inlays represent a dotted heartline or breath path. This approximately 2 1/2" long, 1 1/4" wide and 7/8" tall carving will be a great reminder to have faith in your feelings.
