The fierce roadrunner's spirit has a role in some Indigenous healing and curing ceremonies. Zuni artist Eric Lonjose has sculpted this stunning bird from iridescent gold lip shell. Etched plumage, a crested head, plus prudent eyes and a pointed beak are from turquoise inlays. About 2 1/2" long, 1/2" wide and roughly 1 1/4" tall.
