Hopi Hemis Mana Katsina originated at Jemez Pueblo and is considered a rain-bringer to ensure a good harvest. Carved from traditional cottonwood, Acoma and Hopi Pueblo artist Alvin Leon applied colorful acrylic paints to this intricate Katsina doll woodwork. Other embellishments include soft leather, cloth, Rabbit fur, feathers and embroidery thread. Including the base, measurements are roughly 4 1/8" tall, 2 1/8" wide and 1 3/4" deep.
