Gininka Dickson and Cameron Kalestewa's
Bear is out foraging for old damp logs, then prying them open with powerful curved claws in search of plump grubs and other insects to nosh on. Sculpted from jet and inlaid with a heartline or breath path from turquoise, black lip shell and white shell, this approximately 2 3/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and 1 3/8" tall turquoise-eyed bear is beautifully carved. An abalone point is joined by hematite and clear quartz beads.
