The mallard is thought to be the most abundant and wide-ranging duck on the planet. The male, or drake, is the more distinctively colored of the mallards. Its familiar green head sits a top a white neckband that sets off a chestnut-colored chest and gray body. Merlin Natewa's has captured these colors perfectly in this channel inlaid pin/pendant by using black lip shell, gold lip shell, turquoise, mother-of-pearl, malachite, jet and pen shell. About 1 1/4" long, with a wing span of about 1 1/2" with a sterling silver eye. All hand fabricated and signed by the artist. Silver chain sold separately.
