Bobcats are part of the same cat subfamily as cheetahs,
Felinae. With about 33 species, this group includes bobcats, cheetahs, ocelots, cougars and our beloved domestic house cats. Melvin Sandoval's smoothly sculpted wildcat, as bobcats are sometimes called, is presented in a marble with earthy hues helping it camouflage as it hunts. Fur changes color depending on the season too. Eyes are etched. Melvin is a gifted master carver understanding each animal's essence because they're beautifully rendered with minimal detail. Measurements are approximately 2 1/2" long, 7/8" wide and 7/8" tall.
