Building their nests in the mesquite forests of southern New Mexico, cardinals are a desert-dwelling bird. Their distinctive crests are raised if agitated or curious. Robert Michael Weahkee's antler cardinal has lively red coral eyes and a great offering necklace from strawberry quartz, garnet and quartz beads. A wonderful beak, crest and feathers have been burnished. About 3 1/2" tall, 1 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" deep.
