Pansy Natachu's Petoskey stone bushytail (Fox, Wolf, or Coyote) is a precious carving, measuring about 2" long, 1/2" wide and 1 1/8" tall. This jet-eyed canine is inlaid with a gorgeous Zuni Sunface symbol from jet, apple coral, gold lip shell and turquoise. It represents balance in life: traditionally, turquoise (blue) stands for Father Sky, coral (red) stands for Mother Earth, and mother-of-pearl shell (white) and jet (black) represent all the elements in balance. Artists like Pansy use their creative license and often choose different colored stones or shells in their pieces. The Sunface is used as an offering from the artist in thanks for the medicine that it brings to us.
