Fascinating dinosaurs lived during the Late Jurassic period. Many Indigenous cultures view dinosaur bones as sacred burials of animals who should be shown the same respect as human ancestors. They were the first fossil finders with a knowledge of deep time and the successive ages marked by mass extinctions of flora and fauna, as shown in the fossil record. Alexander Chavez's wonderful dinosaur has been carved from sandstone to a dimension of approximately 3 1/2" long, 5/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall. Eyes and body accents are from turquoise inlays.
