They carry prayers for rain and snow here in the arid southwest, a welcome blessing. They appear on pottery and even jewelry. Lorandina Sheche's feathered friend has been carved from a verdant serpentine and has gorgeous mother-of-pearl eyes. A lone turquoise cabochon is set to the back region of this approximately 2 5/8" long, 2" wide and 3/4" avian companion.
