As the mineral labradorite is moved to and fro in the light, flashes of blue, green, yellow, orange and even purple hues captivate. This is a result of a complex interaction of light reflection, diffraction, and interference known as labradorescence. Todd Lowsayatee's river Beaver has been sculpted from labradorite that hosts mostly orange hues on the sides and some on the face. The mighty tail has been cross-hatched and welcoming eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 3 1/8" long, 1 1/4" wide and 3/4" tall.
