Claudia Peina's Warrior Maiden was called into battle early and didn't have time to finish her traditional hairstyle. Meticulously carved from turquoise, a shawl is decorated with finely etched geometric lines that are filled with jet paste, including coral cabochons. Hair is beautifully incised and the one whorl is set with coral. Discerning eyes are from inlaid jet and a coral mouth speaks words of wisdom. She stands at the ready holding a hand-stamped sterling silver shield and spear. Boots are fastened with inlaid coral buttons. About 2 3/8" tall, 1 1/8" wide and 3/4" deep.
