Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez's turquoise Corn-maiden pendant is a darling size at roughly 1 3/4" long including silver bale, 1" wide and 3/8" deep. Zuni Pueblo tradition teaches that long ago Corn Maidens saved the People from famine and drought by nourishing them with sacred corn kernels from their bodies. A gold lip shell face is etched and filled with jet paste, while a nice red coral cabochon is set. Etched stars and a Dragonfly are seen on the other side making this pendant reversible.
