Reminiscent of the old-style way of carving, Lorandina Sheche brought us an Eagle (or Hawk) made from Texas soapstone exuding warm pink hues from head to tail. Eyes are set with beautiful turquoise stones, while an overlaid "X" representing wings are from iridescent abalone, sky blue turquoise, pen shell and verdant malachite. The raptor is smooth in hand with a calming demeanor. About 3 3/4" long, roughly 1 1/8" wide and 3/4" tall. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this eagle fetish will go to the Zuni Eagle Sanctuary.
