We're happy to welcome Malcolm Cheromiah to keshi.com with a wonderful original woodwork the artist calls "Cradle Baby". Meaningful iconography includes corn, Dragonfly, hunter, musician, raincloud, animal tracks, star and spiral elements. Malcolm describes these as "kachina babies", not specific to any katsina because they are still forming. Cradle babies are protectors of little ones as they grow. Carved from cottonwood, the piece is elegantly painted with colorful acrylics and adorned with feathers. A leather loop is attached on the reverse side for easy display. Signed by the artist. Approximately 18 1/2" long, 3 3/8" wide and 1" deep.
