A roadrunner's long tail feathers assist in balancing, steering and braking as they navigate their desert territories. These quick and smart feathered friends are New Mexico's state bird. Cody Chavez's bird is putting on the breaks carved from picture jasper with nicely etched plumage. A little crest, stubby beak and turquoise inlaid eyes are other great features of this roughly 2 1/2" long 1/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall feisty creature.
