Bobcats are part of the same cat subfamily as cheetahs, Felinae. With about 33 species, this group includes bobcats, cheetahs, ocelots, cougars and our beloved domestic house cats. Melvin Sandoval's smoothly sculpted wildcats, as bobcats are sometimes called, is presented in onyx with dreamy earthy hues helping them camouflage. Fur changes color depending on the season too. Melvin understands an animal's essence as they are beautifully rendered with minimal detail. Measurements of the lovely pairing are approximately 2 3/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall. An offering bundle unites them from pen shell, perhaps melon shell and wonderful turquoise beads, one of which has gorgeous and tiny pyrite inclusions.
