Since the beginning of time, sea Turtles have carried an ancient agreement with Mother Earth and her oceans, to balance the seas and the shores. They are a keystone species who care for seagrass, protect coral reefs, contribute to nutrient cycling and fertilize the beaches.
We can help sea turtle friends by cutting down on single-use plastics and avoiding plastic bags, straws and balloons because floating plastic is often mistaken for food like jellyfish. Vivella Cheama's gentle water creature is carved from sodalite and has jet inlaid eyes. The carapace and flippers are intricately incised in a gorgeous pattern. About 2 1/4" long, 1 5/8" wide and 3/8" tall.
