Reminiscent of Russian nesting dolls, Carlo Lonjose's wonderful set of 6 collectible Corn-Maidens represent the Six-Directions. The A:Shiwi (The People) acknowledge Six Directions in life assigning a specific color to each one. The Corn Maidens are lovingly created from wood and intricately painted with colorful acrylic paints. Pyrogravure treatment details feather elements, painted necklaces and corn kernels. The doll's range in size from approximately 5 5/8" tall and 2 5/8" wide for the largest and 1 1/8" tall and 1/2" wide for the smallest. The largest Corn Maiden has a slight natural fissure.
